Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update from Piccadilly Mailbox and Piccadilly Chambers

With the developing situation regarding COVID-19, we’d like to take the time to assure you that the well-being of you, as our guests, and of our staff is an absolute priority for us. In such challenging times, we understand that businesses are pushing to go on just like we are and we wanted to let you know that we remain open for business.

While we want to welcome everyone, we do need to ask that if you display any of the Coronavirus symptoms, that you please follow government advice and stay at home. Symptoms are:

  • a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back

  • a new, continuous cough – this means you’ve started coughing repeatedly

As the situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, so do our policies. We’ll be continuing to do everything we can to ensure your safety and provide flexibility on all your bookings. So with you in mind we have:

  • Updated our booking cancellation terms – we stand on our already lenient policy, but extend this to offering 24 hours prior notice for funds to be held on account allowing you to reschedule your booking within the next 12 months.

  • Enhanced cleaning is now taking place between every meeting, plus further enhanced cleaning throughout the building and venue space. The cleaning of lifts, buttons and handles is also underway.

  • Despite good manners, we are encouraging all guests to refrain from handshakes, please do not be offended if we do not shake your hand.

  • Where possible, it has been recommended to be 2 meters away from other people. If this is something you feel strongly about, we’re happy to host smaller meetings in our larger room where possible.

  • Improving air quality in the rooms by opening windows. Poor indoor air quality is a predisposing factor for respiratory infections and virus spread.

  • Our staff have been made aware of the government guidelines on handwashing and are ensuring that they are being adhered to.

We continue to monitor the situation and we will respond according to all government-issued advice. It is in challenging times like these that the power of supporting one another is needed most of all. Whether you are planning a meeting now or in the future, our team is ready to welcome you.
